There was a time when your second paragraph described my lifestyle. Retired now and have gone as much as possible back to the simple life.
Not much worthwhile on TV. Haven’t watched TV since 2008. Don’t miss it. If you think that’s virtue signaling, good for you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
