You’ve got to be pretty stupid to use any of those...so stupid, in fact, that you probably shouldn’t use a computer.

My passwords include things like the serial number on the M14 I carried in BCT, The tail number of the plane I flew in flight school, the 1974 CA plate number on my ‘74 FX and the old alpha numeric 7 digit phone number of the house I grew up in and moved out of in 1966. Pretty secure I’m thinking.

If your password is long, it’s not secure. Try using this to generate passwords you can remember.

Easy - buy a book and write down all sites - one site to each page. Than use the first of 30 lines to put in password. The other lines can be used for any changes over the years - change and date of change. They can’t hack a bound journal... and passwords don’t have to ‘be easy’...

My new password: Fu@kj0EbidEn

Pretty secure?

Unless I announce it over the internet...

it is 10 years, since my office of personnel management, my bank, my yahoo account, and my dept of defense files were hacked by the chicoms, under obama.

now, you are telling me, even after watching ‘spaceballs’, that supposedly smart Americans, are still using ‘12345’ as their password???!!??

wow!

Invest in a password application like LastPass where you can generate passwords of significant length (14 digits should be minimum goal). My home network uses 30 digit passwords to protect.
