The Republican Party does little to nothing to motivate its voters. It should be the Seinfeld party because it’s about nothing.
Before you blame Johnson, you need to blame the Liberal Republicans that pushed through the 24th amendment giving the right to vote to people who did not pay taxes.
They sold it as an anti-racism measure and they did it in an attempt to get about 10 million new votes for the Republican party, but Lyndon Johnson beat them to the punch.
You can say what you want about Johnson's moral character, but he was a very astute political operator.
As soon as Liberal Republicans made it worthwhile to bribe non taxpayers with government money, Johnson rushed in with his programs and thereby cemented the votes of the black underclass permanently.
None of this would have happened had Liberal Republicans not pushed through that 24th amendment.
Blame them. Johnson just took advantage of grabbing those voters which were created by this very stupid amendment.

My daughter didn't like President Trump's Tweets. She said he wasn't Presidential.
