“I already have an offer. I’m just trying to figure out what is going to happen with this basketball thing,” Kanter responded when asked about a possible in-ring career. “Obviously, I’m 29 and I want to play another like seven years in this league. I’m just going to figure out my basketball career first and then see what’s going to happen but I already have an offer, it’s just I’m not taking it right now. I love basketball, I don’t want to quit basketball.” -via Wrestling Observer / March 15, 2022

I like that he has stood up to the ChiComs and the ChiCom sycophants.
Don’t follow the NBA close enough to know how good he is, but a number of marginal/borderline players have to finish their careers in Europe or elsewhere, where they can make a lot of money. But yes, him speaking against the ChiComs probably has him being punished.
If he has enough money, my advice for him would be to go do something else that brings meaning to your life that can make a difference in society.
Never heard of this person. Not interested in athletes’ opinions. Never understood the appeal of basketball or other professional sports. (shrugs)
He became a U.S. citizen last fall and changed his last name to Freedom. Since he dared to criticize China, the league told teams not to hire him. He lost his job in the United States for criticizing the actions of China.
He’s not a top 20 player, but there’s no doubt he is good enough to still be playing, if he hadn’t become a “liability.” I suspect it cam from the commissioner’s office.
Believe in Something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.
Maybe Nike will give this guy a contract.
If he’s feeling a little girly, then i’d love to see what he can do to the WNBA
He is a pretty tough guy with quite a bit of talent. Played one year at Kentucky and was a lottery draft pick. He has started for a few teams and a very good backup on others. A lot of teams could use him.
I like him.He stands up to the woke NBA BS. Hope he finds a home
It’s refreshing to hear that there is a PGP that’s willing to speak out against the CCP.
(PGP- professional game player)
That actually is a surprise given how much publicity he got here and elsewhere for the past several years, especially in recent months with him becoming a US Citizen and his story.
NCAA wouldn’t let him actually play. Calipari made him a “student coach” or team manager so he could still be part of the team and travel with them.
that actually just made me laugh out loud.
Me as well.
You are correct. There was some controversy as to whether he had signed a pro contract in Europe.
