I just learned of Patriot Mobile. Cheaper, they don’t give to liberal causes, advertise as backing military and conservative causes. Anybody use them and is there service good? Coverage in Virginia?
following this.
Place I’m moving to in TN has pretty good cell coverage and the county’s putting in several more cell towers (or has, is in the process of). Whenever I go to the Patriot mobile site, one one hand they say they use the same cell towers, yadda yadda, on the MAP it shows no coverage, although I can use an app to locate at least 3 towers when I’m there.
I’ve got another year on my Verizon contract, move there permanently in about 11 months, will revisit the company and their service then.
Wups…
NOW they say I’m covered.
Thanks for bringing this up.
Switched to Patriot when AT&T announced they would no longer support my phone end of Feb. Love it. I was told they use both AT&T and T-Mobile towers.
Don’t know about Patriot. We’ve used Pure Talk for the last 6-8 months. It’s a great service with super pricing.
We too. No complaints.
There is a Sprint network also, and that is what Patriot uses. I didn’t know about Sprint either.
spectrum 1 gig plan $14 month
US Mobile. Good rates and good coverage. Uses either GSM (ATT/T-Mobile) or Verizon. My wife uses GSM because she had an ATT phone. I use Verizon because I have an unlocked phone and find Verizon has better coverage in out of the way places.
Your point is true but I saved 30% when I went to Patriot and I got more service then when I had at&t since i had to move my second cell to a better data plan
All cell phone services have to use whatever towers are available and the big boys put up those towers. All the towers in my area are AT&T.

It appears 55% higher, are there special deals? I have 9 phones
I got my 2 Sons’ phones through PureTalk in January. Heard about them on Dinesh D’souza’s podcast. So far so good.
My phone is reimbursed by my employer. I’m supposed to use ATT, but Pure Talk is so much cheaper nobody said anything when I changed
We’ve had puretalk about a year now. If you travel n will be using data, you can pay $5 extra to get more data. They will stop streaming cold if you don’t.
Good service. Less than half what att cost us.
I switched to Redpocket.
All the different carriers are using one of three networks, ATT, T-Mobile, or Verizon.
Redpocket sends you the card for your choice of network.
I had been with Verizon since they gobbled up Alltel.
I went from $84.00 a month to $84.00 a year.
I also needed to switch to the ATT network because Verizon has no towers in the mountains where I needed it and ATT does.
Setup was easy enough for me to figure out and I am not a techie and I was able to port my number that I have had since I had a bag phone with Contel.
I was curious about that as well.
