If you use Google Chrome as an internet browser, beware: Your information could be compromised.
Google issued an alert warning billions of Chrome users that the browser has been successfully targeted by hackers, and listed 30 security flaws, including seven deemed to have a “High” threat level.
It is unclear who hacked the firm, and whether any users’ security was put at risk.
Google said further hack details are currently being restricted by the company “until a majority of users are updated with a fix.”

If one uses google anything, their information is already compromised
%&$#\’!!!
I normally avoid chrome like the plague, but this am gad to use it, for a google duo vid call. Now I’m Wondering if that just compromised me.
Sigh. Time to change passwords again.
so the duckduckgo extension wont protect me? s/
I use Brave and occasionally Firefox.
none of them are totally secure likely- but i avoid google anything totally just because they are scum- more-so than others-
It’ll be interesting if this only affects chrome or all the chromium based browsers (including Brave and Edge)
It likely will effect all Chrome based browsers, they all use the Google API set.

Maybe - chromium is the core rendering package but Edge and Brave have made substantial modifications to some of the middle and top layers.
It all depends on what was affected and how low in the code it was.
I wonder if chromium edge is compromized?
BTW, Chromium is the bare-bones of the browser. It is BEFORE Google gets it hands on it to install all of the malware and spyware (Chrome).
That’s why I use Brave and Brave search as well.
Whatever account you use for Internet browsing with ANY browser, should be non-administrative. It’s easy to set up and using it won’t change anything except having to enter the administrative account password for certain actions such as installing software.
The bare bones? More like the girth.

I uninstalled it after seeing how constantly it is updating. But I use Vivaldi, which is of the same family, and since I can install it as a portable mode and thus move it from PC to PC, as with Firefox portable. Yet main reason is that both can be hacked to enable multiple tab rows. But I still use Firefox EST 52 since classic extensions work on it. Each has their general specific purpose (but not gaming or porn), thanks be to God.

Thanks, when I saw the title, I looked in the upper right corner of this Brave browser, saw that an update was available, and installed it.
