Just an FYI, it doesn’t matter how oil if formed. There are clearly non organic hydrocarbons on Titan.
Regardless of if it’s created from millions of years of heat and pressure on organic substance, or millions of years of deeper down process, it only is found in certain rock formations. It is those that run out.
There has been, in the 100 year+ of oil exploration, 2 occasions when an empty field was found to have refilled. The oil signature markers on what refilled the field were the same as in adjacent fields that were discovered later and had not gone empty.
In other words, the refill was from an adjacent field that was in production. Drainage. It was not newly formed oil. There is no such thing as that.
It’s very popular for folks to say things like -— “peak oil tells us this” or “the peak oil people say this” and then proceed to rebut or trash.
Peak oil says only one thing. Absolutely nothing else. It says on the graph of oil production vertical axis and time horizontal axis, for a given oil well, with no later in the process modifications to that well, the curve will rise, peak, and decline.
Peak oil says nothing else. Rise, peak and decline. There has never been an oil well that did not conform to that generalized shape. And if the boundaries of a field are not changed, and post decline additions to well count drilled, the field will conform too.
