I’ve practiced intermittent fasting for more than 15 years. It is a healthy way to live and if it helps to prevent over-eating, that’s a bonus. Most Americans could stand to reduce their calories.

I didn’t know it was called intermittent fasting, until recently, but I’ve been doing this for over 10 years. First meal is at 11 am and last meal is at 5 pm. I just called it skipping breakfast and not snacking after dinner.

Kept my weight down and my mood positive. Blood work is good and I do not feel deprived at all. It is about calorie reduction but not by eliminating entire categories of food. If I want bread, I eat bread. If I want cake, I eat a pc of cake. What I found w/ myself is that I don’t really want to eat junk food/crap food, at least not much and not often.

Everyone is different, but this has worked for me.
