I was thinking: There is a big difference between voluntary fasting and being forced not to eat.

With intermittent fasting, which I practiced for 2 long years, I never felt deprived coz I was able to eat everything I like. And there was no strict quantity limitation.

But when I started on this program, it took couple of weeks for my body to adjust to getting hungry at a certain time. After that 2 week period, I was not hungry right after waking up, and so delayed my breakfast to after 10AM. The dinner between 4 and 5PM with a large meal and a small snack at 8 PM and I was good to go until breakfast next day at 10AM.

Benefits for me were reduction in A1C and weight loss without feeling deprived.
