Disgraced reality TV star Josh Duggar has been jailed for 12 years and seven months for downloading a vile trove of 'the worst of the worst' child porn.
US District Judge Timothy Brooks handed the 151-month prison sentence at the Western District of Arkansas Federal Courthouse in Fayetteville at the end of a day-long hearing on Wednesday.
Duggar, 34, has been in custody since December when a federal jury found the 19 Kids and Counting alum guilty of possession and receipt of child pornography.
Members of the Duggar family, including father Jim Bob Duggar, 56, Josh's wife Anna, 34, and two of his siblings, Joy-Anna, 24, and Jason, 22, were seen supporting the convicted pedophile in court.
Judge Brooks sentenced Duggar solely on the receipt charge, agreeing with both parties to vacate the possession charge as it was the lesser of the two offenses.
The decision came one day after Brooks denied a defense motion to overturn the guilty verdict on grounds of insufficient evidence or to order a new trial.
Defense attorneys had asked for a five-year stretch, the lightest possible punishment, insisting that Duggar, said to be a devoted dad and committed Christian, maintained his innocence and intended to appeal.

I really don't care. Just by posting twice, I have lost precious moments of my life over someone not worthy of my attention. There are so many other things more relevant to our lives that some guy on TV.
