Senior citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we take responsibility for all we have done and do not try to blame others.
HOWEVER, upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was NOT senior citizens who took:
The melody out of music,
The pride out of appearance,
The courtesy out of driving,
The romance out of love,
The commitment out of marriage,
The responsibility out of parenthood,
The togetherness out of the family,
The learning out of education
The Golden Rule from rulers,
The nativity scene out of cities,
The civility out of behaviour,
The refinement out of language,
The dedication out of employment,
The prudence out of spending,
The ambition out of achievement.
And we certainly are NOT the ones who eliminated patience and tolerance from personal relationships and interactions with others!
And, we DO understand the meaning of patriotism, and remember those who have fought and died for our country.
YES, I'M A SENIOR CITIZEN!
I'm the life of the party.....Even if it lasts until 8 p.m.
I'm very good at opening childproof caps..... With a hammer.
I'm awake many hours before my body allows me to get up.
I'm smiling all the time, because I can't hear a thing you're saying.
I'm sure everything I can't find is in a safe secure place, somewhere.
I'm wrinkled, saggy, lumpy, and that's just my left leg.
I'm beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.
Yes, I'm a SENIOR CITIZEN and I think I am having the time of my life! Now if I could only remember who sent this to me, I wouldn't send it back to them. Or, maybe I should send it to all my friends anyway. They won't remember, even if they did send it.
Spread the laughter and share the cheer
Let's be happy, while we're still here.
Excellent post :-)
Great. Good Luck!
Well played, sir!
Me Too
What was that you said?
I don’t remember saying anything...maybe I didn’t ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!
This is great! Now where did I put the keys...?
What?
I didn’t say anything!!!
There is one thing many senior citizens regret not taking out.
Where did I park my car?
Good stuff but make sure you get your senior citizen’s discount at the Dunkin Donuts. They make you ask for it.
There are two things the younger generation can't deride us for: we ended the Cold War, and we elected Ronald Reagan...twice.
After 3 years in retirement, I went back to work a year ago, primarily out of boredom. That paycheck has kept us afloat, as my granddaughter has been in NICU since her birth in October...14 weeks premature. Grateful to be able to provide limited financial support to her family.
She's a fighter, but I fear she'll always have medical issues.
I will save it and refer to it when I begin to approach "senior" citizen status in 2023 when I celebrate my 90th birthday...
It's good to start preparing early...
Good luck FRiend with ur knee replacement. I just had my right knee replaced on June 2nd and my left replaced on June 16th. Still pretty uncomfortable.
Do your physical therapy religiously!
Oh! I will!!!
The keys thing. I hate it when I finally find them in my hand!
The left started going after nativity scenes at least 50 years ago.
So many of the mind blowing things the left are called out for doing today actually started in earnest in the early 1970s, renaming schools, nativity scenes, ending all male booze clubs, affirmative action, the ACLU was in the news everyday during those years.
