The real tragedy here is that the Biden regime could avoid all of this and have a much better chance of winning the war in Ukraine simply by opening up US oil and gas production and expediting every possible effort to sell liquefied natural gas to the Europeans and the rest of the world. By doing that the federal government would get a great increase in revenues to help cover the deficit, the Europeans would be provided with liquefied natural gas from a reliable supplier, and the Russians would suddenly be cut off from a very large source of the revenue they absolutely need to continue pursuing the war. Best of all, this wouldn’t involve us getting any more deeply involved in the war than we are now and would give everybody a very good chance of avoiding World War III, which is otherwise definitely on the horizon and getting closer.
