I like the Zebra running up the stairs. The guy seems to be ignorant of animals.

I could not get into the article after seeing his “scientifically proved shape”.

Chuck Missler, the top graduate in Annapolis in 1956, has a great analysis of the commonly accepted shape of the ark. Are the guys that write articles like this on drugs or something?

“Regardless of what he became, early Cosby is hilarious and clean.”

You are absolutely correct! Listen to his late 1960’s albums like “Wonderfulness” and “Why is there air?” and you will be treated to hilarity without hearing a single foul word or any boobs-a-floppin’ innuendo. Plus, most of it is from a kid’s exaggerated point of view.

This is the cubit that Israel apparently left Egypt with, but it is a measurement both shorter than the Egyptian cubit and the cubit that was used for the Tabernacle etc.

It should not be hard to understand why: in ancient Egypt the amount of produce from you land you owed ... and the labor ... was related to how much land you occupied. Now, if you want to put someone to hard labor what you could do is reduce the size of their linear measurement BUT keep their measurements for volume and weight the same.

Voila! Everyone in that group has, on papyrus, more land and owes more labor and produce to the king.

FDR did something spiritually similar when he lawlessly siezed gold for greenbacks and then devalued the greenbacks soon thereafter.

I had every Cosby album as a kid, still listen to them. He was the best at what he did back then. I learned as I grew that pretty much every celebrity was pretty sorry.

Genesis does not say it came to rest on a mountain but on the mountains, iow in a region but not a specific mountain top.

Ararat is near the remains of an object that could very well be the ark. It was revealed in a localized earth tremor when Israel became a state again.

But it’s like an actual boat and not some obscenity against naval architecture as many proposed arks are.

The ark replica constructed in India per Finkel’s translation of the Babylonian text:

The Russians built a few battleships like that.

Fantastic gunnery platforms was the goal.

Slow, lacking maneuverability and probably a bear to dock were the results.

You are probably right but the point remains.

Every other story, the ark comes to rest in the local area. In the story of Noah, pretty far away.

When the ark came to rest it was local to everyone.

Thanks!

Experts debate the shape of Noah's Ark, but the Irish Rovers knew the real story about the unicorns.

Now God seen seen some sinnin' and it gave Him pain
And He says, "Stand back, I'm going to make it rain."
He says, "Hey Brother Noah, I'll tell you what to do --
Build me a floating zoo."

Floating zoo? Sounds like a bunch of wild and crazy 'Mercans. Cats and rats and elephants.. a veritable circle of... "fifths".

Nailed it. That is one of the most stable ratios. Pretty much optimal.
