It’s analogous to trying to draw a straight line a mile long with a two-inch ruler. :^) Give or take the occasional repopulation / ethnic cleansing.
That goes for most of the continent of Africa.
For thousands of years, most of the other peoples of the world understood that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line and would use similar to taunt string to make a straight line between two anchor points…from inches to a modern mile.
