Even though the PGA is pumping their chest and being nasty, my suspicion is this will settle.

The PGA, like the federal government hates competition.

LIV Golf is a professional golf tour financed by the Public Investment Fund, the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia. The name LIV is a reference to the Roman numeral for 54, the score if every hole on a par-72 course were birdied and the number of holes to be played at LIV events.

I suspect this suspension may backfire like the sanctions upon Russia has.

The PGA is on thin ice from an antitrust standpoint. My guess is that they hope to drag the case out until they can get some form of administrative and legislative relief.

Among the many revelations in the suit is that Mickelson — one of the ringleaders in the LIV Golf coup

I really don’t see the PGA’s point of view except they seem to want totalitarian control over professional golf. Must be run by Democrats.

<< my suspicion is this will settle. >>

As Trump said, they’ll eventually merge, and those who took the big upfront LIV money will look real smart.

I think the PGA Tour is on thin legal ice with LIV. They have routinely allowed tour players to play in the Masters and other championships that are not affiliated. Seems that would preclude them from specifically singling out LIV events. (I’m not an atty).

Professional Golfers are Independent Contractors.
If they qualify to play in a PGA Tournament
they should be allow to play.
Bust up the PGA real good.

PGA has to maintain their world wide monopoly.

Same kind of thing went on with the American Football league
before they merged
