I watched it tonight, it pays not to be anywhere near big, blue democrat-run cities.
The apparent ‘lack of policing’ was accomplished as per local voter request. What? Didn’t they get what they wanted?

Where are all the social workers that they said would replace police? They promised to “reimagine” policing and shift duties to the social workers.

In Atlanta they’re the kids trying to sell you water at intersections. Don’t buy water they carjack you.
Years ago, got into a car chase. Caught the driver who was a juvenile. Staff at juvenile detention said that he’d already been arrested over 20 times.
In Georgia, they’ve closed down many of the juvenile detention facilities. Unless the kid commits a violent felony they’re released to their parents or guardians.

For the most part, unless it’s a pickup truck and full dual diesel tanks. Met a construction worker that had his stolen in Portland. The police told him the thieves would use it to steal construction equipment until the fuel ran out at which time they would abandon it and he would hopefully get his truck back.
Oh yeah, and they also got his loaded pistol under the seat.
