Not that I don’t trust our medical experts, but maybe multi-vitamins help cause cognitive decline with all the synthetic ingredients. There are more MV’s being sold than ever and yet the problem keeps getting worse. So the theory is to do the opposite of what they say. And don’t forget, get your safe an effective boosters, too.

Yep. If you're taking a cheap multivitamin from Target or Walmart, you might want to reconsider.

For example, if you happen to be one of millions of Americans who have a grouping of genetic mutations (and almost everyone has at least one of these mutations), you cannot process B vitamins without folate. Cheap brand multivitamins add synthetic folic acid instead of bioavailable methylated folate. But here's the thing... if you have several of these mutations, folic acid is actually toxic to your body and it builds up in your system, causing a multitude of issues that are factors in an assortment of other diseases (i.e., depression, hypothyroidism, extreme anxiety, high levels of homocysteine leading to cardiac issues, etc.). Not to mention, you can take $$$ worth of B vitamins and your body will just pee them straight out.
