Yes. It would be very easy now to do genetic tests on Scythian remains to confirm relationship, no speculation needed.

It seems one group of Scythians were the Medes who decided to conquer Babylon and settle down from the nomadic life.

Yes, just from the link given, I expected to see DNA results. While the linguistic evidence , etc, is very interesting, it should be possible to find DNA evidence. An article like this today that doesn’t even mention DNA is, maybe not suspect, but obviously lacking.
