Darrell Brooks Jr. guilty on of six counts of intentional first-degree homicide, Wisconsin jury finds.

The decision came after a 23-day trial which saw the defendant, who was representing himself, ejected from the courtroom multiple times for disruptive behavior.

He attacked the credibility of witnesses on the stand, raised frivolous objections and at one point went on a 50-minut rant asserting that the court had a conflict of interest, and he had not been able to "face his accuser."

Nope. Not since 1850 or so.

How do you figure that since the charges of which he has been found guilty demands a life sentence? He was convicted on six charges which means six life sentences.

So that shambolic, vulgar burlesque of a murder trial has finally ended. Thankfully, there was no one on the jury who refused to see all the evidence and instead decided to protect a defendant just because he was a black man.

The judge needs to do some deep thinking about how she handled this case, and how she almost allowed herself to fall under his spell of intimidation. She gave him an inch, he took 15 kilometers in all the wrong directions.
The only thing he didn’t do was to charge the court bench and attempt to attack the judge.

There’s still the sentencing where he can flip his lid.

Not sure what you mean. Is there somewhere I can read about the trial and see what you are speaking about?

Not ONE word about race by the media, even though he went miles out of his way and targeted these people because they were white, and his social media will filled with horrifically racist posts.

When Brooks asked why he couldn’t confront his accusers, the Prosecutor should have answered:
Because they’re dead and YOU killed them!

Half the time was probably spent signing and dating each of the 76 counts. As for those who criticize the judge for allowing him to act out so much, it was all so he has no grounds for an appeal. It is also why she never held him in contempt.

If you go to the Law and Crime network on YouTube, you can watch the entire trial day by day.

In short, it was a hot mess in that he considers himself to be a Sovereign Citizen and represented himself. The judge, Jennifer Darow, was appointed by Walker and ran as a Republican. She attended Regent Law School in VA.

She did an amazing job and displayed incredible patience as she knew that she must prevent a mistrial. Brooks challenged her incessantly and shouted OBJECTION dozens, if not hundreds of times a day. She did bring the trial successfully to the jury and the jury spent a scant 3- 4 hours to find him guilty of all charges.

You are correct - not everyone understood how much she had to tamp down her own ego. Holding him in contempt would have been the worst thing and delayed the trial even more.
