People have hunting properties stocked with weird stuff and sometimes they escape.
Saw a huge dead Elk on the interstate one day.
We don’t have Elk here….at least not anymore.
They’re reintroducing them in lots of the East. Some of the herd that used to wander into my mom’s yard was trapped, and sent to the Great Smoky Mountains.
They re-introduced elk in Southern WV a couple of years ago.
Some were from KY and some from AZ.
Herd is doing pretty well according to DNR, if you can believe what they say. WV DNR has credibility problems here.
