I’ve actually been accused of “whataboutism” by leftists on threads the last few months. It’s their new ad-hom attack. In my case, I said that there is nothing wrong with whataboutism when it is on topic. It brings perspective to the original question.

And what I found comical about this one is that the democrats he’s bringing up are not “former office holders”. And it’s not about who they had dinner with. It’s about what they actually said themselves. Ater all Ye, et al are complex human beings. The label attached to them regarding Jews is not who they are. It’s an accusation and also, even if true, is only a part of their persona. It doesn’t mean that if you meet with them, the topic of discussion is how to kill jews.
