A woman has died after she plunged overboard on a cruise ship returning to Florida from the Bahamas on Thursday, authorities said.

The unnamed passenger, 36, went overboard on the MSC Meraviglia Thursday morning and her remains were recovered by the US Coast Guard roughly 18 miles from Port Canaveral, Fla., according to NBC’s WESH 2.

The ship had been returning to the Sunshine State from Ocean Cay in the Bahamas when tragedy stuck, the outlet reported.

I hate it whenever that happens, and to make matters worse is having to listen to some midget screaming, zee plane zee plane.

Last spring I was in NYC and I found myself near that new, funny looking, observation deck not far from Penn Station (can’t recall its name). Turns out it was closed...because a couple of people had committed suicide by jumping off of it.

My wild guess: A crewman made a pass at her and when she said ‘no,’ he beat her and threw her overboard.

It is a grammatical answer.

Singular vs Plural.

We’ve been doing cruises for over 20 years. The last two out of Baltimore and New Orleans. Both became settings for racial incidents, so those were our last cruise vacations.

Cruise ships are staffed by the dregs of the earth. They get paid $10 per day. They recruit them from the slums of Brazil and Central America.

We’ve found cruise ship enjoyment is inversely proportional to the ship’s capacity and how close to that the sailing is.
iow - Sold out ships will always be far less enjoyable.
Another concern is the term ‘sold out’ A 4000 passenger ship can be at 4000 adults and next to zero kids or. A 4000 cap ship can have 4000 adults and 2000 kids. Same ship, just different definition.
Don’t sail at vacation time.

Also the longer the itinerary the fewer working folks on the ship. So go for 8 or more days and you get an older, more enjoyable crowd. We like the 14 day ones best.

Also of note — summer of 2022 many ships got good reviews. Still covid crap and test. Come November 2022 and on, into Christmas, etc every ship tended to be sold out with max kids. Virtually all reviews are negative.

Moving forward I expect every money losing cruise line will pack their ships, no matter what it takes.

And NO cruise line will tell you ‘how sold out they are on any sailing’
