If the fire department orders an inspection that results in your house being condemned, I think the inspector has to leave a notice on your front door describing exactly what must be done to lift the condemnation.

If the inspection has not yet happened, it might help to have the property looking as good as possible before the inspector arrives.

Someone on FR knows the best way to handle the situation you are in. I wish that was me.

I'd help if I could. It seems to me that you (and your dog) have gone through more than your fair share of sh*t lately.

The kitchen is a swamp of water insulation and drywall.
The upstairs bathroom where it was is all clothes burned and shoe and sneaker bits.
I had a lot of stuff in the kitchen due to no closets in the 300 year old house that I had nowhere else to put and it’s all soaked and heavy.
Neither of us can manage the cleanup.
They actually called the ambulance to check hubby because they noticed him being not right.
Heavy stuff is beyond me due to spine issues.
State Farm says they pay for cleanups.
Can they do it fast enough?
Their inspection guy is coming Monday.
I can’t stop shaking but I’m not cold.
:(

I go so far out of my way to be kind to and help people and animals it’s almost an obsession.
And then all of this happens so close together that I wonder if I’m under demonic attack.
On that note my beloved hoodies with angel wings on the back are all gone.

:(
