[BTW, I’m an ME, too. So we DO have the “engineer’s excuse.”]
We really do think on a different wavelength. I’m almost 70. In fact, spitting out homophone’s is really me defaulting to my ME brain, drifting off into a “git er done” mindset.

I would agree. Even on the Blender python script, which was truly a blessing, it took me six times to rephrase the question to the point it generated the right code.
**************
Write a Blender python script that duplicates an object named blade 12 times in a circle of radius 5 around a point in the xz plane, while rotating each new object 30 degrees times the iteration along the y axis.
********************************************************
import bpy
import math
# Store the original object
original = bpy.data.objects[”blade”]
# Set the center point of the circle
center = (0,0,0)
# Set the radius of the circle
radius = 5
# Create an empty list to store the duplicated objects
duplicates = []
# Duplicate the object 12 times and place them in a circle
for i in range(12):
# Create a new duplicate
duplicate = original.copy()
duplicate.data = original.data.copy()
bpy.context.collection.objects.link(duplicate)
# Rotate the duplicate 30 degrees times iteration along the y axis
duplicate.rotation_euler[1] += math.radians(30*i)
# Place the duplicate in a circle around the center point
duplicate.location.x = center[0] + radius * math.sin(math.radians(30*i))
duplicate.location.z = center[2] + radius * math.cos(math.radians(30*i))
# Add the duplicate to the list
duplicates.append(duplicate)

Wow. If some teachers at Wharton are nervous about detecting essays from Chat GPT, then some teachers at Wharton should quit immediately and allow smart people to get their jobs. In other words, if I read twenty essays from men and twenty from Chat GPT, then the difference will be obvious. Chapt GPT will lack diversity of thought and be boring - like some public school teachers.

Get stuffed.
I'm not trying to start a flame war; but how old are you?
I remember back in the 1960s when various things were sold as infallible because "they're COMPUTERIZED!"™
For midwits nowadays, then combination of the magical incantation "Artificial INTELLIGENCE!" plus hand-waving bullsh*t about "searching the ENTIRE WEB" and "umpteen times faster than ANY human could read" will be used to sell dupes (remember, the *mean* IQ in the US is now short of 100; which means about half the population is dumber than that; and remember too that they get to vote) that anything which comes out of ChatGPT will be treated as The. Voice. Of. Reason.
If you think Goolag's censorship is bad, you haven't seen anything yet.
People have posted conversations about "What are the contributions of white people to society" where the answer was the SJW pablum that it's wrong to judge, all groups contribute, yada yada; and then turning around and asking about (some other group, can't remember if it was Jews or Blacks) and the program returned a peaen of how they basically walked on water.
When confronted with the discrepancy, the ChatGPT said "I apologize" and gave a list of some white accomplishments without all the laud and praise attached.
What happens when the person just relies on the first response? Or just starts off asking about the minority group?

Good post.
This is just another step in our overlord’s attempting to destroy our ability to think for ourselves anymore.
This is beyond using the calculator for math, beyond using the internet to gather information for you.
This is designed for you to ask the beast to give you the final answer. To anything.
Us old guys saw this movie called 2001.

Your concerns about technology are valid—but my biggest concern is leftist programmed AI giving wrong but politically correct answers.
“Don’t forget to get your booster.”
“Blacks are just as intelligent as whites.”
etc etc

True, but Google and other social media companies are already skewing their results to reflect a certain point of view.
The things I’ve been interested in concerning ChatGPT are Microsoft Excel and creating complex formulas and Visual Basic code, the examples I’ve seen so far are pretty amazing.

“skewing their results to reflect a certain point of view”
The problem is that facts matter—and if politically incorrect facts are ignored there can be real consequences in the real world.
One good example is the article recently about CT lifting the fitness requirement for female firefighters.
If the AI says that is OK real people are going to die—firefighters and others who are not rescued.

Things like that are already happening I don’t see ChatGPT changing that one way or the other.

That answer would be interesting.

Same thing with Malls. Those retailers who have adapted to selling on-line as well as in brick and mortar facilities are surviving -sort of.
However, the feature of the E-commerce business model that has not been fully understood as the fundamental game changer is the revolution in parcel services, specifically shipment tracking and delivery timeframes.

karpov What I speculate is that of children being taught by "non-binary" robots, connected to the Cloud, programmed and monitored by fully Woke educators, with responses from students recorded as part of a profile on them, thus identifying those in need of more tailored indoctrination, and possible removable from "unhealthy" environments, i.e. parents who hold and express traditional views on morality.

n Japan, for instance, Saya is a humanoid robot controlled in a Wizard of Oz set up. With a feminine look, Saya can speak brief sentences which are accompanied with appropriate facial expressions. This robot has been positioned to deliver information about the principles of leverage.
- Telepresence robots are another form of robots found in classrooms. These robots, with anthropomorphic appearance, are known to establish telepresence communication between children, remote teachers, and between children in different classrooms. It has been observed that children engaged more when learning from a controlled robot rather than when they interacted with the teacher via Skype call.
- IROBI robot, a home educational robot, is operated semi-autonomously, with some human supervision and is used to facilitate English learning classes. Designed to appear friendly and accessible, studies show that students learned better when lectures were presented by IROBI as compared to other media, such as with an audio tape, etc.
Saya, Telepresence, and IROBI are only a few examples that prove that the idea of robot teachers in the classroom is no more limited to the realms of science fiction. - https://www.getmagicbox.com/blog/would-robots-run-the-classroom-in-the-future/
