Black newborns accounted for 70% of the state’s congenital syphilis cases, despite making up about 42% of the state’s live births that year.
I remember as a kid in school our health teacher was bragging that there was no VD in our area as there were no condom machines anywhere within 30 miles.
15 years later quite a few people I worked with came down with VD. They could not pick up a skank at an Oklahoma line bar or University bar without catching something.
