China is considering giving Russia weapons and ammunition for the Ukraine war, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said.
Mr Blinken told CBS News that Chinese companies were already providing "non-lethal support" to Russia - and new information suggested Beijing could provide "lethal support".
This escalation would mean "serious consequences" for China, he warned.
China has denied reports that Moscow has requested military equipment.
Chinese President Xi Jinping is an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin and is yet to condemn Russia's invasion - but he has sought to remain neutral in the conflict and has called for peace.
China's foreign ministry said it would not accept "finger pointing" and "coercion" from the US over its relations with Russia.

The only way the ChiComs can help Russia is if they send mile long freight trains loaded with ordinance. Lots of them.
Biden gave your Putin the greenlight to invade Ukraine in a “minor incursion” and Putin and his crappy military screwed it all up and now he’s begging China for weapons. And the Biden family took more bribes from the Moscow mayor’s wife than from Burisa. And that doesn’t include the free Russian hookers for Hunter.

Hopefully China will wisen up and decide to fly to Turkey instead. They don’t need to escalate the situation.

Throughout the war, Moscow provided Hanoi with 95 S-75 air defense missile systems, over 500 airplanes, 120 helicopters, more than 5,000 anti-aircraft guns and 2,000 tanks. In addition, more than 10,000 Soviet military specialists were dispatched to Vietnam: from missile crews, pilots and signalmen to tank crews and doctors.
Individually, Russian and Chinese aid to North Vietnam exceeds the combined contributions of the EU and the US to Ukraine. Their single-minded focus on killing GI's in Vietnam is impressive as US and EU hesitancy re weapons shipments to Ukraine is not.

Trump was referring to a 2020 report by Senate Republicans that claimed Yelena Baturina, one of Russia’s billionaire oligarchs, gave the hefty sum to a company called Rosemont Seneca Thorton as part of a ‘consultancy agreement.’

Days later, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was grilled over why Baturina had not yet been sanctioned by the US over Russia’s attack despite her apparent ties to the Kremlin — and whether Biden indeed was conflicted.
