A rare Blizzard Warning has been issued for parts of Southern California as the next storm system is expected to crash ashore on Thursday.
According to the FOX Forecast Center, this is the first such warning for the mountains of Los Angeles and Ventura counties since 1989. The forecast calls for upwards of 5 feet of snow and wind gusts of more than 55 mph in the warned area.

Nancy would be good too.
I was a transplanted Easterner who lived in Orange County in the 1980s.
One day the boss sent me to a meeting way up in Victorville—it never even occurred to me there would be snow up there and I needed a top coat—that was a hilarious surprise.
I’ve read that the antichrist will try to change the time, but don’t remember about seasons. Would like to know if seasons are in there too.

The wind sounds like a freight train.
Warnings are a pretty recent thing. Years ago...you just watched it happen.
Hurricane and Tornado warnings are different.
Must be that global warming I keep hearing about.......
I think Dr. Thomas Horn mentioned this.
I lived in Va for a year. Headlines....7 sleds sold at the local hardware store.
We were out in Menlo Park last night when the huge cold front / windstorm blew threw. Trees uprooted, branches everywhere. Must have been steady 25 mph with gusts to 50 or 60. It sure got cold and fierce quickly!
