Savannah Guthrie was forced to exit the Today show studio mid-broadcast this morning after testing positive for COVID-19 for the third time - while her co-host Hoda Kotb remained off the air for the seventh day in a row.
Despite appearing on the show for the first 30-or-so-minutes, viewers were left confused when Savannah, 51, suddenly disappeared with no explanation after a commercial break.
Her co-host Sheinelle Jones - who was sitting close beside Savannah for the half hour that she was on-set - later explained that she 'wasn't feeling great' so she decided to take a COVID-19 test, which came back positive.

Think of how ludicrous the whims thing is. The network tests them for an infectious disease but doesn’t have the results until AFTER they’ve already exposed all the other cast and crew on the set?
Give it time. When their ratings are in the toilet, one of these networks will end up interrupting the show to give the audience breaking news about a cast member testing positive for an STD.
