That is utter nonsense. None of what you said is accurate.
You clearly haven't read the Catechism or the Canon Law.
The existence (or not) of an annulment has absolutely no effect on the status of the children as legitimate. Nor is it intended to. It is entirely a question of whether the previous marriage was valid. And that has to do with the intentions of the parties, not who's Catholic. Now, once you're both Catholic, you're expected to be married in the church, but there's no particular penalty for getting married in a registry office (which is the case in most of Europe).

I’m no fan of divorce. But I’ll make an exception here.

Even though he’s a world class ass, he’s still their dad.Ever shared custody with a world-class ass, of whatever sex?

“If you have any children, the Catholic church will consider them ALL illegitimate until you CONVERT. Aaaand you will have to have a Catholic wedding. Thems tha rules. No exceptions.”
That’s hilarious. If you DON’T follow “them” rules, what’re TPTB gonna do — 20 lashes with a wet noodle?

If remaining legally married to one’s spouse puts one at severe risk of harm, divorce is not forbidden. If the legal, physical and temporal separation divorce produces would serve one day to set the table for eventual reconciliation and reunion, it might be the single best course of action, right now. Meaning that, under such conditions, not lightly arrived at but after much prayer and hard consideration, your diocese, your local ordinary, even your metropolitan could and should endorse your decision.

Am thinking she probably held out long enough to leave no doubt that mentally, spiritually, legally, she needed both distance from him, and protection against his unique brand of depredation.
To: CFW
Shocking, he seemed so supportive.

Assuming your question is half serious...none of the kids will be allowed into the Catholic school. All of your "friends" in the Catholic church (that you HAVE to go to) will shun you. Friendly stuff like that. I'm guessing that you have no idea how the Catholic church works. Am I right?

>" If you have any children, the Catholic church will consider them ALL illegitimate until you CONVERT. Aaaand you will have to have a Catholic wedding."<The Catholic Church recognizes marriages between Catholics and non-Catholics. You are not required to convert, and you are not required to have a Catholic wedding. All that's required is that the marriage be blessed by the Catholic Church, which means you fill out some paperwork and exchange vows.

I suspect she needs to be more worried about HIM trying to take her for all she’s worth. In any case her life will be far better without that nasty poor excuse for a man in her life.

Wonder if she will resume using her maiden name, perhaps in between, so people will still know who she is? Kellyanne Fitzpatrick Conway. I like it.

That may be an admirable, positive characteristic for James Carville, however,
advocacy of antiAmerican lunacy is not a good thing.

most Lutherans are far more conservative than Catholics.Amen to that, (except for the ELCA, which has gone woke). The LCMS is still abiding by Luther's catechism. A desire to return the Church to the Apostolic faith as taught by Jesus, and a definitive move away from unbiblical behaviors, were the reasons for the 95 Theses and eventual schism.
