It takes months for the FDIC to take over and dish out depositors’ monies.
Given Wells Fargo’s recent history of illegal banking practices and general wokeness it’s a good idea to not use them. Find a nice medium sized, conservatively run credit union. If you have lots of excess cash that you do not feel like investing in the very short term, say less than the term of short-term CD, put that money in a brokerage account of a conservative brokerage house. That is also very safe. Diversify where your money is and across investment products.

I’ve got the same message. Interesting that Silicon Vally Bank and Republic Bank are having serious problems today. Might be related?
This is why I constantly check my online balance with the Bank of America app at least twice a day.
I saw that message today, too. Everything looked OK, but the “search” function was not working.
