Thanks - miss those after leaving CA. In GA we get storms and pollen...and azaleas are ripped apart from the storms!!

There was a year in AZ, I think 1993.

The desert out on the bombing range between Ajo and Yuma was stunning.

Goldwater Range.

After the rain SoCal received this year, the bloom should be phenomenal. I recall the flowers from years past looking like candy on the ground.

I saw some good pics of the foothills East of Bakersfield.

They haven't bloomed like this in a long time.

Training areas at Camp Pendleton are beautiful in the spring after a wet winter. Beautiful until the heat shows up in May, that is.
