I know I'm going to open myself up to ridicule, but I'm running out of things to try.
A little history,.....I had an account that was used for miscellaneous posts about politics and opinion for years, but decided to posts my home Bible Studies to You Tube without mixing them with the other political and opinion posts. So, I made another account and wrote the login and password in my password book.
I stayed logged in for over a year to post 157 video's on Bible study. I have since logged out and logged back into my generic account for a few months. I decided to upload a few video's on my Bible account and haven't been able to log back in since. I can't find where I wrote the login down and when looking at the Bible account the name seems unfamiliar from anything I've ever had.
To make a long story short, I have lost my Bible account with no way to get it back. My given email doesn't work and I can't change a password that doesn't work. I use 3 emails for various different accounts and have several passwords I have used recently and none work.
Any ideas?
Send a message to the account from your other one, and you would get sent an email notification for the attached account.
That would at least give you a lead on which account you used to set it up.
Isn’t YouTube Google?
I use Microsoft edge. There is a way to manage and look up passwords that you think are lost. Depends on which browser you used when you logged in last and if you are still using it.
We had a similar problem with Google’s two-factor authentication thru YouTube apps. I finally got on my Google account and turned two-factor authentication off. We also had to take the computer we were having trouble with off VPN before it could log on to YouTube. I put in a trouble ticket on it.
Did you set up alternate contact in the Bible email account, like a cell phone to text to reset password, or another email address to send the password reset?
Signing up for a paid account, even if it’s just for a month should make their support more accessible, and they can probably offer for verification and retrieval.
I did the dame thing with an old account. Had to copy the vids from the old account to my new one. So, basically, you’re screwed.
You have forgotten the name of the Google account you used.
Correct?
I don’t use edge. I use FireFox.
I don’t use Google. I don’t think I have a Google account.
Let me ask the following FR-favorite question:
Are you logged in?
I don’t have a smart phone. I have a land line. I beleive I used it a long time ago to have my land line read out a code, but they don’t offer that now.
I don’t pay for anything, so far.
It looks like you may be right.
I can find the video’s on you tube, but I can’t sign on. The name I used is “charles gale”. The name seems to be under @charlesgale8115, but I’ve never used that number on any email.
You can’t access the email you used for that youtube account?
Worth a try to open Firefox and go to your settings. I would think there would be a way to manage your passwords. All of mine are listed even really old ones that I was able to delete.
I’m not sure which ( 1 of 3) emails I used, but I’ve tried all 3 emails I use to no avail. The “@charlesgale8115” is not a real email. I have to wonder if I’ve been hacked or something. I assumed I could log in to one of my emails and then just change the password to something I would know.
Heres a link I just found for you. Hope it helps.
