Snipers and vandals turned the nation's highways into a battleground today, forcing more truck drivers off the road and making them unwilling participants in the Independent Truckers Association strike.
Some of those who defied the strike either armed themselves or depended on security help from state police and Teamsters.

A football coach and a teenage girl were victims of the strike violence. Chris Balawender, who was driving 11 students from a LaPorte, Ind., high school in a van, was wounded by gunfire on U.S. 20 - apparently by someone aiming for a truck.
Pennsylvania authorities offered a $10,000 reward for information about an incident in which Melissa Sarsfield, 14, of Coraopolis, Pa., was hit on the head by a brick thrown at a truck. She was hospitalized in guarded but stable condition.

Biden back then was all for the union thug violence.
Still remember the Melissa Sarsfield tragedy.
Surprised UPI has this on the web, when they actually reported the news without bias.
UNION THUG VIOLENCE Unbelievable that we have to have this crap in 2023. Worthless human debris scum.
Well, it was 40 years ago today.
And now less than $425 to reach 27% in our freepathon!

Let’s get ‘er done!
Why isn't this in breaking news?

Small, small world. That injured coach, was Justice John Robert’s football coach.
I vaguely remember it, google doesn’t have anything on it.
Oh for petes sake.

IF anyone has further strike updates, please post. Thanks.
