That is not a US MLRS. That’s the old Soviet version with much shorter range. It is not guided MLRS rockets.

Thanks for that info. It looks like they’re not waiting for the latest toys, or they’ve run out of them and are firing whatever they have, then. I don’t expect any reliable damage assessment from either side. This must be provided solely to show enthusiastic Ukrainian troops whooping with joy as they fire sh!t at Russian troops in Bakhmut. OK. That’s what it is, then.
Rate of fire is the first sign and the wheeled (M142/HIMARS) holds 6 rounds, the tracked version M270AX variant can shoot slightly faster and holds 12 total rockets.
Having never been up close to fires shot, except in Brooklyn and Queens, I’ll have to take your word for it.
