Wander off the trail and it doesn’t take long before you can be seriously lost.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
In the early ‘60s when I was in my early 20s my Buds and I would hunt in woods we’d never been in before and wander around for hours. Somehow I seemed to have an internal compass and was always able to get us back to our starting point without any problem. Friends would comment on how I had that ability. Now? I can’t find my way back to my car in a shopping center parking lot!
Cash crop, no doubt.
Why not?
But , But , it’s was only a 3-hour cruise
“Could be trying to disappear and start over.”
I think that’s an explanation for some of them. Faking their own death. Then the lover is waiting downstream a mile or so with a car to make their escape together.
(I used to watch Lifetime movies.)
That’s cool!
Garmin sells all sorts of things that can track you unless you get separated from them.
US National Parks are controlled by drug cartels - its were they have their growing operations and meth plans.
Sorry backpackers
We are born on the mountains. here we never ever ever go alone in the mountains .we are warned. A conservation worker went from the camp alone few years n back
Wolves ate him.we wuz of 6 us kids in a lean-to and a big wolf attacked us. Luckily we had a 44 Ruger n 3030’sn drove him off with shots in the air. We never press our luck. There are no good contemplation fairies in them woods.
I didn’t realize you were serious, by all means, if you are afraid of the outdoors then always make sure you have enough people around you that you feel safe in that environment.
Indeed bears seen taking long naps.
Cuz you will be disappeared!
You are not wrong~~
Not afraid. My family been here in mountains with bears, mountain lions, coyotes, wolves,400 years and we just ain’t that stupid.
Well, on the oft chance there are some naive critical thinkers on this thread I will provide my thougts from a very exceptional experience I had in winter 2006 at Starved Rock State Park, IL.
Essentially, there was, imo, a very exceptional entity in this 411 cluster area.
Rather than trying to convince ppl of anything (cuz I really don’t gaf what ppl believe -Liberty) I will proffer this:
-If you think you are being watched -you are.
-If you think you are being followed -you are.
-If you feel you are being tracked and targeted -you are.
-If you feel it is behind you -it is.
-If you feel it is right behind you -it is.
Turn around often and be prepared to confront and fight immediately, with your fullest intensity. That in itself can throw them off as they do not expect you to be aware of them or to forcefully challenge them.
If you sense any of the above, turn around and head out ASAP.
Actually you sound like someone with a phobia about the outdoors who can only endure it when surrounded by a crowd.
Someone has never been stalked by coydogs and it ain’t me. Sir I pray for your complete safety and well being when alone by yourself in the woods.
I’ve been camping and backpacking alone for at least 55 years, you should try it.
I think if we have any SF guys reading this they might very well agree with you and say they have actually had training to NOT look and stare directly at the object of attention. There appears to be a sixth sense in some.
Now that you are sending me nasty freepmails, I see that you are just completely nuts, not merely terrified of the outdoors.
