Florida cop loses it when another officer pulls him over for dangerous speed: 'I'm going to work, my man'

A Florida city police officer was reportedly arrested and stripped of his duties after being pulled over by a county sheriff's deputy for alleged reckless driving.

Officer Alexander Shaouni was allegedly driving 80 mph in a 45 mph zone in a marked Orlando Police Department vehicle when he was pulled over by a deputy of the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, according to police dashcam footage.

The deputy activated his lights and raced to catch up with Shaouni's SUV after reportedly noticing him speeding down a local road.

"Over 100 miles an hour trying to catch up to him," the deputy noted, according to video.

When the deputy finally caught up to Shaouni, who had turned his own lights on before pulling over, the two got into an argument, with Shaouni emphasizing that he was on the way to work.

"I am going into work, my man," Shaouni told the deputy. "Why are you trying to pull me over as I’m going into work?"

"Because you are going 80 in a 45," the deputy replied.

Following their back-and-forth, footage showed Shaouni refusing to give the deputy his driver's license before getting back into his vehicle and speeding off again.

Cops love the 'courtesy' of being able to break the law.

County Sheriff’s should ALWAYS trump policy-enforcement Police.

Sheriff’s perform a Constitutional role and can and should and do make arrests within their county of jurisdiction, include ANY federal agent (IRS, for example).

.

"Over 100 miles an hour trying to catch up to him," the deputy noted, according to the video.

As a side note, this statement alone cannot tell you how fast the Orlando cop was going. #algebra

Knew a recovering alcoholic that liked to tell stories about his early missteps in adulthood. One of them was his few years as a young State Trooper on the Highway Patrol. One morning his old car was broken down and he decided to don his uniform and hitchhike to the main headquarters where he was in training. A senior trooper pulled over and asked him what he was doing. When he explained the trooper said in his very broad Missouri drawl: “Son, we don’t hitchhike in the Patrol.”

Good work by the deputy. I hope he doesn’t get the Frank Serpico treatment in return.

Kids will still get killed running after a ball, even if it’s cops doing the drag racing.

“Another affirmative action hire?”

I assumed the same but decided to watch the video. Just another white guy with the old “I gots the Power” attitude rolling outside his jurisdiction. Got a bit heated when called for breaking the law.
I expect this career in law enforcement is over.

He’s been relieved of duty, but his disregard for basic traffic laws put him on the news. A small town probably couldn’t afford his potential future of risky behavior.
