A hundred years ago, no reasonable yacht would venture forth without a rifle.
Orcas which tried a stunt like this would be shot.

I think orcas are pretty smart and have been known to hold a grudge.
A few years ago an orca at Sea World snatched one of her trainers and took him to the bottom of the pool for an extended dive session. pretty effective way to kill a person.

Exactly, protect them by putting a 1/4 mile zone around them to protect them seems to be making them more aggressive to humans.
