Agree...Thank you for your service...
Sanity prevails..
And the entitled, rude driver is looking for new work
Go easy on the husband. If she’s disabled, he’s carrying double the load already.
A meat lovers pizza is the most favorite pizza in San Fran.
I’m considered a good tipper and I only give 20%.
I’m 12 miles from the pizza hut closest to me. we don’t order from them any more but for 10 bucks they would run it out to me.
I am sure it depends on the store and who owns it.
“ Maybe he’s on duty? ”
In the actual article, there is a picture of him in uniform. And he has been moving around the country. Add in an 8 and 4 year old. For all we know, he was at work and she uses DoorDash.
This tipping crap has gone too far.
A 25% tip is a fair and reasonable tip, that driver is a cock!
Yes, tipping should be based on services rendered. Many other cultures especially Asian think our tipping mentality is crazy. I think COVID exacerbated the problem by the reason you mentioned and everyone being guilted into helping extra for the struggling businesses when no one could eat in the restaurants. Now its expected. Sorry but everyone is struggling now so I am not going to continue to give away money. I have decided to pay with cash in the future to avoid those annoying tip menu screens. No tips for takeout either but I get a lot of takeout sushi and I get the feeling that the Asian places don’t really expect it.
Even a local food truck ask if I want to tip. (Who, the owner of the food truck?) Tipping isa pain.
Why tip the door dash guy at all? Do you tip the mailman? FedEx? UPS? the propane guy?
“I’m considered a good tipper and I only give 20%.”
Wow I only tip 15% but not on take out orders and like another person here said not at a place like Starbucks. Places like Starbucks, Panera..are to me like MacDonalds and who tips there?
“Why tip the door dash guy at all? Do you tip the mailman? FedEx? UPS? the propane guy?”
You know that’s an excellent point. Are we not already paying him for his service? Just how does Door Dash and that other company work anyway?
I just call my Pizza Hut for delivery. Same for Jimmy John’s. I’ve never used DoorDash or GrubHub - if the restaurant itself doesn’t deliver, I’ll pass or just go pick it up.
I tip 20% BEFORE tax and any delivery charge.
She said “you’re welcome”…the FU came from the Door Dash driver.
It’s amazing to me that entire articles in the United Kingdom are being written about two people talking to each other in Texas.
We have never used Door Dash, but I remember researching it a while back.
I thought the premise was that the customer would post what they wanted picked up and delivered to their home and how much extra they were willing to pay the delivery person.
So the delivery person would know how much to expect. If it wasn’t enough they could decline the delivery.
Is that correct?
I would think you would have to pay extra if you wanted to be judged and cursed at by the delivery person./sarc
