Even though the S&P 500 Index has jumped double digits, Disney’s stock is almost at its 5-Year Low. Market opening on Friday, July 21st, saw Disney’s stock at 86.54, nearing its 5-year low of 84.07.

This stock price decline is believed to have erased around $16 billion from the company’s market value. Now, there’s speculation that Iger is thinking about selling the company to Apple or at least selling the noncore pieces of the business.

“Iger’s model of offering low prices and a bonanza of content has clearly resonated with consumers,” .... So while they have almost 158 million Disney+ subscribers, it has come at a cost. It is expected to lose about $800 million in the third quarter.

Sure, we lose money on every customer, but we'll make it up on volume.

They not only blew hundreds of millions of dollars on movies which will never turn a profit, they threw all their investments into the properties they had acquired at great expense into the crapper.

Disney will never ge the 10 billion it spent on Lucasfilm back. They will not make anymore money on Marvels movies. They paid billions to acquire fox, still not making money on that.

They face lawsuits and payouts for shenanigans in Florida. They have ruined their reputation world wide and families don’t want to watch their woke crap.

What else? Oh, no one cares about Walt Disney among the people they have ostensibly made friends with.

It’s okay and I think almost all of us have made peace with Disney ceasing to exist being a good thing at this point. Disney’s magic is gone, they have long since made the best things they were ever going to make. We get to keep those things almost forever in good quality thanks to modern digital video. Having them gone will benefit everyone by removing their ability to block and oppose, buy out and screw up better art. Not to mention their current non stop disgusting political agendas.

Having them go down now would be nothing but good.

Here's an idea, Disney:

Stop trying to push your woke nonsense on the American people!

While one can hope, but a buddy of mine who loves going to Disney pulled up the Disney park app. From the wait times on the rides, I don’t think it’s that bad.
I’m sure it’s down some, Bidenflation and all, but I’d rather people just will stay away because the Disney brand isn’t for the normal American family. Mickey supports a perverted version of family

Equity activists are outraged over the disappearance of ‘white guilt’ that justified DEI’s existence
after Disney, Netflix, Warner Bros, and others lose money, force out their high-paid loser DEI chiefs

EDITED-—Racial equity activists are outraged after several large companies dropped their diversity, equity, and inclusion consultants......after huge company losses.

The outrage was documented in a report from the Los Angeles Times that noted the exits of DEI experts at Disney, Netflix, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and Warner Bros’ Discovery.

“I wake up every day trying not to be a cynic, but this is frightening,” Vic Bulluck of the NAACP Hollywood bureau ignorantly stated.

“Hollywood seems to be sending a message that these programs that were designed to (gag) “give more access to African Americans” are no longer needed.”

The report noted that all of the DEI chiefs dismissed were black women.

Business strategist Kim Crayton claimed that she predicted that the corporate support of DEI programs would be short-lived.

“2020 was the year that we were definitely making strides — but there wasn’t any strategy, there wasn’t any plan,” she explained.

“It was a PR moment — corporate blackface,” she added. “I told people at the time: ‘White guilt isn’t going to last.’”

Disney, Netflix, and Warner Bros. Discovery told the Los Angeles Times that these criticisms were inaccurate and that they were still committed to the cause of equity and diversity.

Crayton facetiously went on to say claim that DEI consultants were too busy “having to deal with white people’s feelings” to make any lasting change about inequity.

“If you don’t have the autonomy, the resources or the authority to make changes, it won’t work,” she said speaking in a total vacume, without a scintilla of factual proof. “Many of these women spend the majority of their time “navigating white people’s feelings’ — and you cannot do the work if you have to do that.”

Former NBC Universal diversity chair Paula Madison put her own biased spin on it.

“In many instances, other than receiving humongous salaries, the person in those roles has no power,” Madison explained. “These DEI officers are just treading water — and sometimes they are drowning. These things were never designed to be successful.”

The exasperation of DEI proponents was mirrored by that of LGBTQ activists who complained that corporations had been backing off from their support of the far-left movement during the very lucrative Pride Month.

1. Disney broke a Marketing 101 rule, don't destroy your brand.

2. When was the last time Disney had an original idea?

3. Disney prices are too high in this “non-recession” economy.

Disney’s Chief Diversity Officer Latondra Newton Exits (Disney destroyer number one)

Disney’s chief diversity officer and senior vice president Latondra Newton is exiting her role after more than six years, according to an internal memo obtained by Variety.

An individual with knowledge of the situation says that Newton will be joining the corporate board of another company soon, and plans to devote more time to her self-owned creative company.

In her role as head of DEI operations at Disney, Newton was charged with overseeing the company’s “commitment to produce entertainment that reflects a global audience and sustains a welcoming and inclusive workplace for everyone.”

Upon her departure, Newton’s direct reports will report to Julie Merges on an interim basis until a new chief diversity officer is named. Shelby Curry and the DEI internal communications team will continue to report to internal communications and engagement exec Carrie Brown.

Previously, Newton served as group vice president of social innovation and chief diversity officer at Toyota Motor North America, Inc. and chief program officer for Toyota Mobility Foundation, Toyota Motor Corporation. She began her career at Toyota in 1991.

Newton’s exit from Disney comes less than a week after CEO Bob Iger announced CFO Christine McCarthy’s decision to step down from her role. See Disney HR chief Sonia Coleman’s note to staff announcing Newton’s departure below. To our extended DEI and HR team, I’m writing to share the news that Latondra Newton has decided to leave The Walt Disney Company to pursue other endeavors.

Since joining the company in 2017, Latondra has led the company’s strategic diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, including partnering with stakeholders across the enterprise to amplify stories of the world by people around the world. She has been dedicated to ensuring every person sees themselves and their life experiences represented in a meaningful and authentic way.

I know you all join me in thanking Latondra for her many contributions, including the lasting impact she has had on our employees and our culture.

Working alongside all of you and so many others, she has inspired countless cast members and employees to bring about lasting change and to help create a world where we can all feel safe and we all belong.

Latondra’s direct reports will report to Julie Merges on an interim basis until a new DEI leader is identified. I want to thank Julie for leading this team along with her Talent Acquisition organization. Additionally, Shelby Curry and the DEI Internal Communications team will continue reporting to Carrie Brown in her role leading internal communications & engagement for the company.

Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, will sell off the assets to get what price they can get now before the assets continue to decline in value.

They weren't going broke because they went woke, they went woke because they were already going broke.

Watta shock when Latondra proved her greatest talent was losing the company billions and billions of dollars.

Their immediate problem is that they have to buy the 33% of the Streaming service HULU they don’t have from Comcast at around $9 Billion, so they have to sell off some assets to complete this deal. Every movie they have released in the last 18 months have been bombs and next month they have another one coming out called The Blue Beetle which looks really bad, then we have The Marvels in November followed by the new Snow White which already looks pretty bad.

Bottom line is they are losing lots of money and it has to stop.
Iger has to be fired with a lot of other people.

Not to worry....

Bidenomics will help Disney to recover.

Disney will be as happy as all Americans are today.

Life’s never been better.

And, Mickey and Minnie will finally have enough money to get married and live happily ever after.

And Snow White will have her dwarfs become giants after they have enough to eat.

Thanks to DeSantis.

Disney was actually in the top 5 donors to Trump in both 2016 and 2020.
