Anyone interested in getting to know a well known singer in other parts of the world - and getting more popular here in the States?
Simply known as "Dimash"
His full name is Dimash Qudaibergen
Dimash is a 6'3" (only putting that in there because I thought he was on the shorter side - and was amazed he was that tall), 29 year singer/composer from Kazakhstan with a 6-octave and 2 semitones voice. (A2 to D8 with a highest whistle tone of G7)
He's is university trained in classical and contemporary music, has performed songs in 13 languages and plays 7 different instruments.
From online: "Although offered a position at the Astana Opera, he decided to carve out his career in contemporary music, mixing classical elements and traditional Kazakh music with pop music. He graduated from college with a degree in Classical Music as well as a Master's Degree in Composition by defending his Master's thesis with a perfect score and received a recommendation for admission to doctoral studies in music."
Here's a few to get you started!

The Story of One Sky (composed and sung by Dimash) Video: (12 minutes long, but well worth it) (The story is his conception also. Most expensive music video ever done at $7 million. The saved boy at beginning is the soldier later in video - which is acted by Dimash) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Psjws97FoA
Live version of The Story of One Sky (amazing!). (has English captions if you turn them on. It's in English, but captions still help) From 3rd hour of his Almaty, Kazakhstan concert. Starts at 25:35 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP1r9wlkmHU&t=2264s

Very bad singer with a screechy voice and horrible technique.
a perfect waste of time. This kid needs to be planting tomatoes and growing food for humans.
Wow! Amazing voice. Thanks for posting this.
Gives me a headache.
Kazakhstan is greatest country in the world!
All other countries are run by little girls.
Kazakhstan number one exporter of potassium
All other countries have inferior potassium!
Great Success!
But can he whistle Dixie?

one of the greatest forgotten concept albums of all time.
still seems to be totally relevant today
and they did not use autotune.
Reminds me of Diva Plavalaguna in The Fifth Element.
I loved That Queensryche album. Operation Mindcrime is definitely relevant today.
Hey, even I can sing.
I think his voice is better suited for classical music. I enjoyed his duet with Celine Dion but only when he was belting it out.
Try Dan Vasc who is full on testosterone. He’s a Brazilian who isn’t afraid to sing Amazing Grace and The Star Spangled banner as they should be sung. Check his “apology” for singing The Star Spangled banner, too.

I’ll stick with the throat singers from The Hu. Thanks.
Roger Daltrey?
Nope the Mongolian The Hu. That’s my multi-culti music experience. Traditional Mongolian instruments with electric guitar, bass and drums added, throat singing and songs about Chinggis Khan coming back and leading the Mongols to conquer the world, all in Mongolian. Good stuff.
