Who seem to have more control then trigger happy dumb white guys lately.
It was so unusual for them to see ‘normal’ people, that they just assumed that they must be up to something.
Just think of it... They weren’t shooting needles, snorting stuff up their noses, or ranting like a Schizophrenic’s. All the typical things that San Francisco people do.
> Who wants to be a cop these days? <
Yes, that is a real problem. Some cops are seriously psychotic, and are destroying the profession from within. But most cops range from decent to exemplary. As you noted, the times have changed. It’s not Eisenhower’s America anymore.
There is a huge subsidized housing complex in my neck of the woods. And it’s located in a small town. Small towns have few officers. So when there’s a call at 2 AM from that complex, it’s one cop answering it all by himself.
Bless that one cop. I wouldn’t take that job under any circumstances.
Good thing the family dog wasn’t in the car.
Why are you so stingy giving away taxpayer money?
I say $50,000,000. Each.
These are Frisco, TX cops.
This happens more often than the police want to admit. Some innocent family threatened, put in real jeopardy and tramatized over misread plates, plates being entered wrong, wrong information in database, etc.
Even if a car comes back as stolen, I don’t think using a high risk stop should be standard procedure unless they have more information that confirms that it’s stolen or there is mminent risk.
I’ve seen too many videos of families with kids being put in handcuffs, made to lie face down on the ground only to find out it was a big “oops”.
“Good thing the family dog wasn’t in the car.”
too true! LOL!
This is what happens when the shiddy council crime experts decide to “defund” the police and hire a bunch of losers to replace the old veterans.
That changes a lot actually. It more understandable to screw up out of state tags. If you can’t recognize your own state, that’s bad. Lol.
See what happens when you follow officers’ instructions? The proper outcome is achieved, albeit inconvenient.
EC
I would guess that the data entry resulted in a not valid registration which should have clued the officer of a typo in her entry.
I was going to post that but you beat me to it. I remember many radio announcements mentioning cities in Arizona that were actually in Arkansas. AR-AZ can really confuse someone.
? So insread of AR 1234 the cop put in Az 1234.
Which unless it was the coincidences of all coincidences of all coincidences it would gave come back as not a reported stolen plate un AZ.
So WHY did this cop run this family down and pull them over BEFORE she got results of comouter search?
It said sge pulled tgem over and waited 10 mins in her squad car before gettung out.
Hard to believe results on AZ plates had not come in
White cop/black perp will always get more media than black cop/ any perp in shootings. Have any numbers to back up your claim? I don’t know that this dim bulb even drew a weapon in this case.
On the part of “Law Enforcement”
Well, duh. Statement of the week.
Hahahahaha...I just saw that movie recently for the first time! (I was in the Navy and deployed overseas when it came out, and just never got around to watching it!)
