On Monday, Hawaii’s Democrat Governor Josh Green announced that his administration is actively considering acquiring properties in Lahaina that have been devastated by recent wildfires.
A total of 99 deaths were recorded as a result of the wildfires that occurred in Maui. Concerns have been raised among officials regarding the potential increase in the death toll, as just 25% of the burn area has been searched thus far.
Local residents are grappling with not only the loss of homes and loved ones but the unsettling attention of developers looking to capitalize on their tragedy.
USA Today reported a particularly distressing account of Tammy Kaililaau, whose home of 20 years was reduced to ashes.
Less than a week after the catastrophic event, she received a Facebook message from someone in real estate. Kaililaau, along with other residents, had been warned via social media that developers might try to buy their land, so she ignored the message.

democrats gotta do what democrats do
Who are Green’s donors? If park creation isn’t being mentioned, you know what’s going to happen next. Hawaiians can’t be that stupid.
As the rumor stated, Oprah wants those properties for a larger spread for herself, and other celebrities.

any different from this:
Hawaii’s Democrat Governor Josh Green announced that his administration is actively considering acquiring properties in Lahaina
Answer: it's not.
Democrats are the party of the bee hive and the ant colony - with them all being at the top of the hive or colony hierarchy and the rest of us existing under and for them. They are essentially the party of human control and enslavement, and should be properly labeled as such at every occasion.
This is not an exaggeration.
Hellloooooo, Democrat voter.
Hellloooooo.
Governor “protects” the land now, so that s/he will be able to steal it later.
The kkk is proud of democrats fooling blacks for nearly 160 years
And do we know how those wildfires even started, other than explanations given by the state government?
It kind of makes me think of the plot of Police Academy 6. The mayor creates a crime wave to devalue property across the city, at which point the cheaper property can be scooped up. In this case, it’s been alleged, if not outright proven that some of these fires started by arson. After property was lost, sure enough somebody comes swings on in, and has a grand design to acquire the land. Makes me wonder about Ferguson, MO in 2014, and all the cities that had “festivities” in 2020. Who’s scooping up the destroyed properties in those cities? The whole thing stinks.
There are probably factors, including the shoddy construction that often takes place in tropical paradises.
However, I just find it odd that so many billionaires landed nearly simultaneously to look at buying up the land.
We peasants can’t have beach front property, that’s reserved for our betters.
And with so many dead children, the risk of litigating heirs is also removed — how “unexpectedly” convenient for corrupt land grabbers...
Apart from its usefulness as a naval and air force base do we really need Hawaii for anything?
I’m betting Oprah and Obama will “save it”....They’re gonna turn it into another “Colonial Williamsburg”....just like Rockefeller did when he “secretly” bought up the sleepy little Town and turned it into a mega billion dollar business which still rakes it in today.
It is almost impossible to fathom the evil housed within some individuals.
Sociopaths have insinuated themselves in all strata of society. Many of them are excellent conmen(conwomen). Throughout history they have manipulated people on an emotional level to ignore common sense, reason and wariness and to just pull the lever.
So the concept of private land is unknown in Hawaii? People who owned land before the fire, own the land after the fire.
