As far as the Camaro and Mustang went, the 1969 model years looked (and IIRC performed) much better.

I had the yellow Z-28, exactly. 350 LT1, 2.02 heads, Edelbrock high rise manifold, Holley 750, M22 transmission. When I bought it, it had a plug fouler in one of the cylinders so I had to rebuild the engine to replace the rings. I made some minor modifications and she was good as new. What a sweet ride and I wish I still had it.
