Efforts by the Biden Administration to recover the $280 billion in stolen COVID relief funding have been largely unsuccessful, with only about $8 billion recovered so far.
As Just The News reports, the money that has been recovered was retrieved through prosecutions by the Department of Justice (DOJ). However, a letter from Congress has raised concerns about the overwhelming failure of the Biden Administration’s attempts to recover the full $280 billion.
The letter was sent to the DOJ last week by Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.), Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, who expressed his belief that the majority of the lost funds were stolen by foreign criminal rings in such countries as China, Russia, and Nigeria.
“It is highly concerning that possibly billions of taxpayer dollars intended to help Americans suffering the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic were stolen by organized criminal rings in foreign countries,” said Comer in his letter. “Therefore, we write today to better understand the full scope of this problem and what actions the Department has taken to investigate international COVID-19 relief program fraud and hold these foreign actors accountable.”
“As of January 2023, the federal government spent approximately $4.6 trillion on aid programs in response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” Comer continued. “This is equal to more than was spent by the entire federal government in every fiscal year prior to 2020.” He added that “estimates imply that at least half of all stolen COVID-19 relief funds went to Russian, Chinese, and Nigerian criminals.”
As such, Comer has demanded that the DOJ turn over to the committee all documents relating to the total number of cases, either current or closed, of fraudulent COVID aid committed by international actors, as well as the total value of all the fraud combined, and the total number of cases of international COVID fraud by the targeted relief fund.
Well $10 billion here and $10 billion there. Pretty soon it adds up to real money.

I think a lot of small US companies might have taken too much, but getting that back would destroy those companies who don’t have funds remaining to pay it back.
I watched a few snippets from Biden’s speech in Pennsylvania to the Unions yesterday, and it is obvious that his handlers are ‘juicing him up’ for selected speeches. I wondered about the deleterious effects this has on a decrepit old dementia patient. I would not be surprised if he just keels over soon from over medication.
Heck the big guy is only recovering the biden crime familys’ percent. It’s only 28 billion. People are in prison for less than the biden crime familys’ percent of the take on this crime.

Just like they “earn” the money funneled back as bribes from the Ukraine war funding.
So sick of all the cheating and incompetence.
And the good news is Jill Biden tested positive again for covid. Hopefully Joe does and they both die but that’s wishful thinking.
I do not believe that the feds have "recovered" any of this money.
They may have identified who stole it, and set these losers aside for prosecution.
There is no way that they have seized assets that allowed for the recovery of $8 million, much less than $8 billion.
Did they check congress and political campaign donations?
The whole regime, no wait, the whole US government are a bunch of crooks and need removal.

The part that is relevant to this thread:
—The “coach” of this “high school football team” had the “players” fill out forms requesting Covid loans for fake businesses all over the country.
—The “coach” pocketed the money.
—The “players” had no clue what they are signing.
The “coach” got about fifty loans, 20K each, for a million bucks this way.
It was easy money—and of course none of it was paid back.
Last time I checked there was no federal indictment for this blatant fraud which has been well covered by a wide variety of mass media including the New York Times, Sports Illustrated, HBO plus local Ohio outlets.
