Barstool Sports president Dave Portnoy can't stand politics. People are surprised to hear that, what with the regular appearances on Fox News and his mutual admiration society with Tucker Carlson. But he hates politics almost as much as he does Business Insider. This is why it was surprising to many for him to use his massive platform to heap praise on GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley.

Portnoy isn’t praising Haley because he wants her to win, he’s praisng her because any vote for her takes one away from DeSantis, not Trump.
Portnoy might not be your cup of tea, but he’s no dummy. He got what I think was the best interview of Trump’s presidency out of him, and it wasn’t because Trump was brilliant and outmaneuvered him like he has with some other memorable interview interactions, it was because Portnoy framed every question and interaction to pull the best response out of Trump.
It’s crazy.
Dave Portnoy is one of the good guys. He fought back after he found out that the Washington Post tried to “cancel” him.
