Burbank Mayor Konstantine Anthony has withdrawn his endorsement of U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff in the race to replace the late Dianne Feinstein in the U.S. Senate.
While Anthony touts Schiff’s support of “women, LGBTQ individuals, gun violence prevention activists, and labor unions,” he said he cannot back Schiff given the congressman’s support of Israel in the ongoing battle against Hamas.
Anthony, who recently received backlash for his participation in a spanking by a drag queen at a private event, supports a ceasefire and a peaceful solution to the fighting, he said in his statement.
The mayor added that the “only thing more dangerous than the rhetoric coming from our GOP controlled congress is all-out war.”
“Until my congressman joins this peace movement, I can no longer, in good conscience, maintain my endorsement of his candidacy for the United States Senate,” Anthony said. “I will not be endorsing any other candidate for Senate while I await his statement calling for peace, at which time he will earn my endorsement again.”

This guy is either incredibly stupid or he’s a willful liar. The GOP does not control Congress. The GOP barely controls only half of Congress. And the commander-in-chief is a Democrat. Look it up, mayor.
Or maybe the mayor doesn’t have to look it up. His constituents will believe anything he says. And the media won’t bother to correct him.
Mayor “Spank-Me-in front of the children!” has reduced credibility anyway.
Burbank used to be a conservative area.
I wonder if he is Greek. I knew someone once named Anthony who was Greek-American, and Constantine is a popular name among Greeks. That could influence his view of Middle Eastern conflicts.
It really doesn’t make sense to me that Adam Schiff would get a promotion to Senate unless he starts kissing dudes. There’s only so much room in California statewide politics for straight white dudes, and Gavin Newsom already has one of those seats.
He can always endorse Steve Garvey.

Let’s parse this sentence, shall we:
1. “women” - Women are veiled and kept in the kitchen and bedroom in Hamas controlled areas.
2. “LGBTQ” - These types get to prove Newton’s Gravitational Laws per Hamas.
3. “Gun Violence Prevention” - Hamas LIVES by gun violence
4. “Labor Unions’ - none to be found in Hamas controlled areas.
Yep...sounds like Hamas lines up PERFECTLY with the Democrat Party. Yep...

I was there recently in April. Beautiful downtown area and outskirts/ Loved flying into the smaller airport vs. LA. Everyone was very nice in stores and restaurants. Large Latina population.
