Haley — the former South Carolina governor and the only woman in the 2024 race — was asked Wednesday night by “The Daily Show” guest host Charlamagne tha God if she was going to wear heels so she can tower over DeSantis at the third GOP debate next week in Miami.
“I don’t know. We’ll have to figure that out,” Haley replied...I’ve never hid that from anybody. I’ve always said, ‘Don’t wear ’em if you can’t run in ’em,’ so we’ll see if he can run in ’em.”
Trump’s super PAC, Make America Great Again Inc., also trolled DeSantis Wednesday by announcing it would send him a pair of Puerto Rican-themed boots as an early Christmas present,
DeSantis has denied any shoe shenanigans, telling businessman and podcast host Patrick Bet-David on Monday night that he favors “standard, off-the-rack Lucchese” black boots at most of his campaign appearances.
However, three makers of fine footwear told Politico they suspected the 45-year-old governor was in fact getting help gaining a few extra inches.

DeSantis says he’s 5’11” which is above the average height for a White male is 5’10”, so I’m not sure what he would be insecure about unless he’s not telling the truth about his actual height.
And for the multitude of desantis supporters who have been trying to dismiss the lying desantis has been doing about this story with ‘so what’ and ‘nobody is talking about this’

Are you joking? You think Trump isn’t a typical insecure self-conscious politician? Why do you think his skin orange? WHy is he angry about is small hands? He is 77 years old, what color do you think his hair really is before he dyes it?
He could have avoided all this by just wearing normal shoes like a normal person in a suit.
He’s from Florida. He’s not a cowboy and he’s not a short person. So what’s with the boots when you’ve never worn them before.

To me, I the the boot kerfuffle is just silly, but the bigger issue is that it expresses a degree of inauthenticity and other personality related items.
It just reeks of being politically animalistic, which I find repellent. What Clinton and Obama were, and what Reagan and Trump were not, IMO.
Trump has already been subjected to the ridicule over the years. He withstood it.
With Trump, there is nothing new to report that hasn’t already been reported and talked about.
DeSantis and his supporters need to quit treating him like a baby who can’t take the heat.
He should have done some thinking before wearing those elevator boots. It is a self inflicted mistake.
The boots aren’t why I would not vote for him. His association with Bushes McCains and RINOs is why I don’t care for him.
