Cultured fish meat is a paste at the cell-growth stage. Umami is making prototypes of products formed like fillets using a 3D printer by mixing soy protein and other ingredients as a binding agent. The production cost of the food is estimated to be around $200 per 100 grams.
Maruha Nichiro plans to develop a cost-effective method of processing fish paste products using cultured fish meat produced by Umami as a raw material. The idea is to keep the price of the product within twice that of conventional marine products.
twice the cost of the real thing.
That is $907 per lb? correct me if I am wrong.

Maybe the plan will work if they regulate the fishing industry to zero. Just like their attempt on oil.

Sounds disgusting, like those vegan faux meat products, but it does seem possible that in a century or two such products will feed large portions of humanity.
Propaganda will have made sure that eating natural animal proteins will be considered barbaric, inhuman, disgusting. Don’t believe it can’t happen!
They have discovered just how well propaganda can work (hey, it worked so well for Stalin and Hitler) - just look at the current climate change madness and the masses believing the BS.
