This is going to be an eye opener
for those that vote on the blue side
of things, and that think this is
the best thing since “a chicken in
every pot” was promised.
Those in Minnesota when the temps
are -20 are going to be eating
some mighty cold chicken.
Heat pumps don’t work so well below
freezing temps.
Also, those that have a heat pump,
and that system may be worn out
and ready for replacement, are
surely going to game the system.
The last quote I received was over
$6K.

Yeah, they work by sucking heat out of the air (or a deepwell sink line) and when the heat ain’t there it ain’t there. Then it’s the ELECTRIC RESISTANCE backup augmenter.

When I bought my home heating was fine, then my thermostat broke. Repairman said it was the wrong type of thermostat because I had a heat pump system. He replaced it and said this will save you money. Maybe it saves me money but all it does is blast cold air. I’m going from Texas to St Louis this winter to stay with my daughter because she has GAS heat.
