A lot of comments from those that have never had to stand at attention for very long. Usually it is the heat but it also could just be “nerves”. How many videos have we seen of the groom or best man at a wedding faint? It happens.

I had the honor of serving in the Honor Guard (Army). Entered as a private, left after 2 years as a sergeant.
I don’t know the circumstances, but I can tell you this: the young man has served his last Honor Guard detail. Period.

We were taught to continuously flex our knees within our starched trousers. It is hardly noticeable that your legs are moving. If you stand with rigid posture you're headed for disaster.
